Made for This Moment Campaign

by | Discussion | 0 comments

The ASA recently developed a campagin to promote our specialty to policymakers and healthcare executives. Part of the reason the ASA  organized this campaign was that about one quarter of healthcare opinion leaders are not aware that anesthesiologists are physicians. Another alarming thing the ASA discovered in their polling was that about one-third of health care executives said it “doesn’t matter” whether it is anesthesiologists or nurse anesthetists who are responding to medical complications and emergencies. These are shocking and worrisome findings to say the least.

The ASA campaign website https://madeforthismoment.asahq.org is designed to promote the specialty to policymaker and healthcare executives.

For you, our members, the website www.asahq.org/MFTM-members provides a new research report, talking points to use when meeting with healthcare executives, and an outline of the campaign’s goals and tactics.

The ASA produced this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBJZCIzKq70 as part of the campagin as well.

Please check out the campaign and feel free to post about it on social media!
